What you will do

• Expand and maintain backend code for distributed event processing systems using Java and Spring Boot;
• Build and optimize data pipelines involving Kafka and ensure seamless integration with other platforms;
• Develop and optimize scalable RESTful APIs and build GraphQL APIs from scratch;
• Manage and enhance database interactions for both SQL and NoSQL systems;
• Leverage AWS services, including SQS, to support the scalability and reliability of backend systems;
• Contribute to the Operational Lineage system and MDP Data Lineage collaboration to meet delivery goals.

Must haves

• 4+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot;
• Experience working with Kafka as a data source, including building interfaces with other platforms;
• General knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases;
• Proven experience in developing and optimizing RESTful APIs with high scalability and performance;
• Hands-on experience building GraphQL APIs from scratch;
• Familiarity with AWS services, including SQS;
• Proven track record of contributing to 2-3 projects using this tech stack.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL.
