Title and Summary Country Manager Uruguay - Vice President Country Manager Uruguay Market- Vice President MasterCard is a global payments and technology company. Overview A critical leadership role responsible for leading a market/group of markets. Reporting to the divisional/Regional President, the role is responsible for identifying business opportunities, driving and delivering revenue and profitability for the market(s) and its customers, and delivering corporate governance responsibilities. They will create and deliver the Go to Market strategy for a broad base of diverse customers, set the cultural tone of the market (s) by ensuring there is a highly engaged workforce with high standards of business ethics, and they will be responsible for developing and executing their respective market strategies on Nationalism, as well as representing Mastercard to government and regulatory bodies. Role- Accountable for the P&L and configuration of country sales, delivery and operations for large or complex countries/regions.
- Identifies business-building opportunities for cross-functional groups to drive profitable market share and revenue.
- Monitors regulatory framework and proactively approaches external stakeholders.
- Acts as Mastercards ambassador, spokesperson and key contact for regulatory and government agencies.
- Proactively positions Mastercard as a trusted partner of governments/other stakeholders towards managing Nationalism in the country(s)
- Oversees communications with Mastercards customer banks, and the merchant community
- Positions Mastercard as a business partner, thought leader and trusted advisor with customers
- Develops relationships between Mastercard and the customer across all operational functions
- Identifies, coaches and develops top talent and pro-actively develops employees as organizational resource
- High Experience in a management role in large and small complex country/region with accountability for sales, marketing, delivery and/or operations.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business administration or similar, Masters in Business Administration is desired
- Demonstrated success in smaller Country Management roles and/or managing P&L goals for a country/region
- Experience in managing complex and/or international customers account and relationships
- Experience developing relationships with government/regulatory agencies and influencing stakeholders to better position Mastercard in the market
- Successfully managed/led employees in a multi-cultural environment
- Implemented and/or led formal learning and development programs to improve employee performance
- Led efforts to identify and groom talent within sales or country/region
- Led complex, international, cross-functional projects as
- Abide by Mastercards security policies and practices;
- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed;
- Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and
- Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercards guidelines.
