Head of UX & Prototyping

At MPM we are seeking a Head of UX & Prototyping to lead the strategic vision and execution of user experience, rapid prototyping, and innovation initiatives for one of our main Clients.

This role requires a strong balance of business acumen, design thinking, and technical leadership to align user-centered design with organizational goals and emerging technologies.

As the Head of UX & Prototyping, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, and AI specialists, driving the creation of prototypes that validate business ideas, accelerate decision-making, and inspire product innovation. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure that design and prototyping initiatives directly contribute to measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership
• Define and drive the UX and prototyping vision, aligning with overall business objectives and product strategy.
• Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities where design, prototyping, and AI can accelerate innovation and growth.
• Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of UX designers, researchers, developers, and AI specialists.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.
• Promote cross-functional alignment between business, product, technology, and design.
• Business Understanding & Innovation
• Translate complex business requirements into intuitive, user-centered design and prototype solutions.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to co-create concepts and validate ideas quickly.
• Ensure UX and prototyping initiatives deliver tangible business value and user impact.
• Prototyping & Technology Integration
• Oversee the creation of rapid prototypes (low to high fidelity) to validate concepts with users and stakeholders.
• Integrate emerging technologies—including AI/ML solutions—into design and prototyping workflows.
• Partner with engineering to ensure prototypes evolve seamlessly into scalable products.
• User-Centered Design
• Advocate for the user, ensuring design decisions are backed by research and data.
• Build frameworks for usability testing, feedback collection, and iteration.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in UX, product design, or related fields, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Business Acumen: Proven ability to understand and translate business needs into design and technology solutions.
• Leadership: Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across UX, development, and emerging technologies (preferably AI).
• Technical Understanding: Familiarity with prototyping tools, front-end technologies, and AI-driven design processes.
• Innovation Mindset: Track record of driving innovation through design thinking and rapid experimentation.
• Collaboration Skills: Strong communicator able to bridge design, business, and technology teams.

• Education: Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in innovation, AI, or leadership are a plus.
• Communication: Demonstrates an advanced proficiency in English.
