In this role, the Specialist is responsible for reviewing the correct disposition of internal IT security controls, identifying, and reporting existing or potential gaps or non-compliance situations.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of global IT security processes and internal controls as well as Latam technology landscape
• Assess and document the effectiveness / correct disposition of internal controls over key IT Security controls, company policies and standards through:
• Performing walkthroughs and risk assessments with process owners and documenting and assessing results to ensure adequate control of key IT Security controls.
• Validate agent deployment, system configurations, policy compliance by gathering, crossing and validating underlying security agents information or asset control.
• Identify process/control deficiencies, recommend remediation plan, and monitor remediation progress.
• Coordinate testing of key IT security controls, track completion, monitor status and continuous follow up.
• Provide oversight, guidance, and training on internal IT Security controls to process owners.
• Make process improvement recommendations with regard to control execution.
• Escalate remediation actions or non-compliant situations
• Perform tasks as assigned by team with oversight from supervisors, with high quality and timely manner.
• Communicate status of work and issues encountered to supervisor. Escalate outstanding issues as appropriate
